No fixed route, no other guests, no timetable but yours.

Every other safari on this site starts from a route. This one starts from a conversation. You tell us how you like to travel, and we build the days around it rather than fitting you into an existing shape.
In practice that means your own guide, your own vehicle, and often sole use of the camp — meals when you want them, drives that start when you are ready, and nobody else's schedule in the room.
It suits multi-generational groups, photographers who want to sit at one sighting for three hours, and anyone who has done the northern circuit and wants something built rather than bought.

Why exclusive use
What exclusivity actually buys, beyond the obvious.

No shared vehicle means no compromise on when you leave, how long you stay, or when you turn back.

Chosen for your interests rather than assigned by rota, and with you throughout.

Ruaha and Nyerere, fly-camping nights, Mahale, or the crater on a Tuesday because that is when it is quiet.

Per head, sole use of a house beats individual luxury rooms from about six guests up.

Step one
Not where you want to go — how you want the days to feel. Early or slow, moving or settled, photography or comfort, and who is travelling. Most of the useful information comes out of this rather than a destination list.

Step two
We draft a route against your dates and the season, and tell you plainly what each choice costs in time and money. Two or three revisions is normal, and we would rather argue for a change than let you book the wrong month.

Step three
We match the guide to your interests — big cats, birds, photography, geology or culture — rather than assigning whoever is free. The same guide stays with you from arrival to departure.

On safari
Leave at five or at nine. Sit at one sighting for three hours. Have lunch at four. Change tomorrow's plan tonight. With sole use of a camp, none of that inconveniences anybody.

Four tiers, all of them yours
At this tier the question is not which camp, but whether you take all of it.

The private guiding without the small-camp premium. Where most private safaris start.
$780–950 pp / day
Inside the park or on concession, with walking and night drives permitted.
$1,100–1,500 pp / day
Six to ten tents, nobody else. Works out per head from about eight guests.
$1,300–1,900 pp / day
Own chef, guide, vehicle and pool. No timetable of any kind.
$1,500–3,200 pp / dayFor groups of six or more we will usually quote sole use as well as individual rooms — it is often cheaper per head and always better.
24% CONSERVATION FEES
Private itineraries carry the same fixed government fees as any other — roughly a quarter of the total — but a larger share goes to guiding and vehicles, because neither is shared with anybody.
Honest fit
Exclusivity is worth paying for in some situations and simply expensive in others.
All seven, side by side
Rates are indicative, per person per day sharing, and include park fees. Every one of these is a real page — read the one that fits you rather than the one we happen to be showing.
