OFF-02 · Places of Africa Safaris

Late availability

Not a fire sale. A departure that is already confirmed and already costed, with seats that would otherwise travel empty.

Offer OFF-02

Inside the window, the seat goes cheap

Departures leaving within 45 days carry 15% off our charges, on whatever is still unsold. It applies to our joining safaris and to confirmed private departures where a room is already held.

The economics are simple and worth understanding. Once a departure is confirmed, the guide, the vehicle and the camp block are already paid for. An empty seat earns nothing, so a discounted seat is strictly better. That is the whole offer — there is nothing wrong with the trip.

What you trade

Cheap because it is soon, not because it is worse

You are getting the same guide, the same vehicle and the same parks as somebody who booked eleven months ago and paid more. What you give up is choice.

You take the dates that exist. You may not get first pick of camp, a shared room may be the only option for a solo traveller, and there is no room to shift by a week. If your leave is flexible and your passport is current, that is a very good trade.

The practical constraint is not the safari, it is everything around it: international flights at short notice, a visa, and vaccinations that want six to eight weeks. Check those before you get attached to a date.

Terms & conditions

  1. Late availability is payable in full at the time of booking. There is no deposit option.
  2. Non-refundable and non-transferable once confirmed. This is the trade for the price.
  3. You are responsible for your own flights, visa and vaccinations, and for confirming they are achievable in the time.
  4. We take late bookings up to 7 days before departure, while park permits and camps can still be confirmed.
  5. Offers apply to new bookings only and cannot be applied retrospectively.
  6. One offer per booking. Offers cannot be combined with each other unless we say so in writing.
  7. Subject to availability at the time of booking. An offer does not hold a camp or a seat — a deposit does.
  8. Park and conservation fees are set by TANAPA and the NCAA and are never discounted. Any saving applies to our own charges.
  9. We reserve the right to withdraw an offer at any time. A booking already confirmed keeps the terms it was confirmed on.

Late availability moves too fast for a web page. Message us with a rough window and we will tell you what is genuinely open right now.
