PAS-01 · Tanzania
Eight days, four parks, one guide — the northern circuit done properly.
See the packages

The northern circuit in a private vehicle, with one guide from arrival to departure. Not a fixed departure, not a coach tour — the itinerary the whole Tanzanian industry is built around, run properly.
What makes it classic rather than budget is the pace and the vehicle. You are not sharing a nine-seater with strangers, you are not being moved between parks at somebody else's speed, and you are not doing four parks in four nights. Every seat is a window seat, the roof opens, and the day starts when the light is right rather than when the group is ready.
Everything else we sell is a variation on this route. The luxury tier changes the beds. The private tier changes the exclusivity. The migration tier changes the timing. The road is the same road — which is why this is the one to take first.

Why the Classic
Four things separate it from the cheaper trips visiting the same four parks.

Max six guests in a private Land Cruiser. Shared safaris put nine strangers in a nine-seater and somebody is always in the middle.

The same licensed guide throughout. Cheaper operators hand you to a new driver at each park gate. By day three ours knows what you photograph.

Never more than one park per two nights. A one-night stop means arriving at dusk, one drive, and leaving after breakfast — you see the road, not the park.

Upgrade from tented camp to crater-rim lodge and you travel exactly the same circuit with the same guide. You are choosing a bed, not a lesser safari.

Arusha → Tarangire → Ngorongoro → Serengeti → Arusha · approx. 1,150 km by road
Days 1–2 · 2 nights
Met at Kilimanjaro International and briefed in Arusha, then two hours south-west onto the Maasai steppe. In the dry months every elephant for miles is on the Tarangire River — herds of several hundred are ordinary here, not lucky.

Days 3–4 · 2 nights
A half day in the groundwater forest below the Rift Valley escarpment — baboon troops, elephant among the mahogany, flamingo on the flats — then the climb into the highlands and a dawn descent onto the crater floor.

Day 5 · 1 night
North-west across the conservation area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge where the Leakeys found hominin remains almost two million years old. Past Naabi Hill the plains open out and do not close again.

Days 6–8 · 3 nights
The part that separates a good safari from a rushed one: two complete days to go further out and sit longer at a single sighting. Then a light aircraft from Seronera — an hour in the air instead of eight on the road.

Four tiers, identical route
Four tiers, one route. Same guide, same vehicle — only the bed and the price move.

Dome or walk-in tents, shared or basic en-suite, all meals cooked by your crew. Closest to the sound of the bush.
$250–320 pp / day
Permanent rooms or canvas on timber decks, en-suite, pool, full board. The tier most guests book.
$340–450 pp / day
Twelve tents or fewer, private veranda, excellent guiding, often inside the park boundary.
$700–1,100 pp / day
Butler service, crater-edge position, private descent vehicle, or a whole house on sole use.
$1,400–2,400 pp / dayWe name the exact property in your quote rather than a tier label — and if a camp we have proposed is full for your dates, we tell you before you pay, not after.
30% CONSERVATION FEES
Tanzania is more expensive than its neighbours and almost nobody explains why. Roughly a third of your safari price is fixed government fees — park entry, conservation levies and the crater descent — collected by TANAPA and the Ngorongoro authority before a single operator is paid. We publish the split because it is the fastest way to show you what a suspiciously cheap quote has had to cut.
Honest fit
We would rather send you to the right itinerary than sell you this one.
All seven, side by side
Rates are indicative, per person per day sharing, and include park fees. Every one of these is a real page — read the one that fits you rather than the one we happen to be showing.
